SBP-Passerelle Mindanao finals slated for Oct. 22-23


 

Top teams in Mindanao are now gearing up for the regional finals of SBP (Small Basketeers of the Philippines)-Passerelle Twin Tournament, the longest running national inter-school basketball competition for children in the country, to be held on October 22-23, 2016 at the Almendras Gym in Davao City.

Competing for SBP tournament are Xavier School University, Ferndale International School, and Ateneo de Davao University, while the battle for the Passerelle tournament will just be as fierce with Holy Child School of Davao, Corpus Christi School, and Southern City College as they battle it out for the chance to compete in the national finals.

The winner for each tournament will join NCR champions La Salle Greenhills for the SBP tournament and Adamson University for the Passerelle tournament in the national finals to be held in Bacolod City on December.

Other regional playoffs will be held on November 5 to 6 in Baguio City for Luzon and November 19 to 20 in Roxas City for Visayas.

SBP tournament is for kids ages 9-11 while Pasarelle tournament is for players ages 12-14.

First 116KM Community Run in the Philippines Logs 3.5 Million Steps to Champion Children’s Right to Safe Play

Manila, Philippines, 24 June 2025 – More than 3.5 million steps and over 2,500 collective kilometers were logged during the Move for Play: Infinity 116KM Run, the country’s first-ever open-road ultra-endurance community run.
