La Salle greenies vs. Zobel junior archers at 32nd SBP-Passerelle NCR finals

SBP-Passerelle’s two-time defending SBP division champion La Salle Greenhills is all set to defend its title at the national level of the twin tournaments’ 32 nd season. But La Salle Greenhills will have to secure its slot in the nationals by facing off with sister school De La Salle Santiago-Zobelin the National Capital Region (NCR) finals. The highly-anticipated game between the sister schools will be held on September 17, 2017 at the Blue Eagle Gym in Ateneo de Manila University. Also much-awaited to be is the battle between two of NCR’s top teams in the Passerelle division, Nazareth School of National University and San Beda College. The winners of the tournaments will face regional winners from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao at the national championship game in December. 21st Women’s Volleyball League Championship on March 5

The finals for the much-awaited 21 st season of Women’s Volleyball League (WVL), one of the country’s biggest and longest running volleyball tournaments for girls, is finally near! Organized by BEST (Basketball Efficiency and Scientific Training) Center and sponsored by Milo, the finals will be held on March 5, 2017 at the San Beda College Gym. Saint Pedro Poveda College and St. Paul College Makati will be competing in the 17 and Under Developmental Division while King’s Montessori School Team A and San Pedro Relocation Center National High School will face each other for a championship victory in the 17 and Under Competitive Division. Qualifying for the 13 and Under Development Division are Colegio San Agustin Team A and School of Saint Anthony. Another team from Colegio San Agustin will try to thwart King’s Montessori School in the 13 and Under Competitive Division. University of the Visayas (UV) got to take home the much-coveted Sportsmanship award in the SBP division of the prestigious SBP-Passerelle Twin Tournament. This award is based not only on the fair play shown by the players, but also among the coaches, school officials and parents, and aims to develop values, discipline, team work and sportsmanship among all participants. The SBP-Passerelle Twin Tournament is organized by the multi-awarded school for basketball and volleyball, BEST Center, sponsored by Milo, and supported by Chris Sports and Rain or Shine. Now on its 31st year, SBP-Passarelle is the longest running and most prestigious annual interschool basketball competition for children where students ages 9-11 compete in the SBP division, while students ages 12-14 compete in the Passarelle division. Berkeley, ISBB win SBP-Passerelle Luzon finals

Berkeley School and International School for Better Beginnings (ISBB) bagged the championship title for the Luzon finals of SBP (Small Basketeers of the Philippines) – Passerelle, the largest twin tournament in the country, held at the Easter College Gym in Baguio City. Berkeley School of Baguio easily won the SBP tournament against Wonderland School of Dagupan and earned their 4th consecutive regional championship title, 69-36. 3rd place went to Sacred Heart University after winning the battle against St. Scholastica’s Academy, 56-50. Meanwhile, it was a hard feat for ISBB to beat St. Louis University during the Passerelle tournament until they finally took the lead halfway through the last quarter, ending the intense battle with 67-64 score. Holy Angel University came in 3 rd in a match against Urdaneta City National High School, 50-47. SBP-Passerelle Mindanao finals slated for Oct. 22-23

  Top teams in Mindanao are now gearing up for the regional finals of SBP (Small Basketeers of the Philippines)-Passerelle Twin Tournament, the longest running national inter-school basketball competition for children in the country, to be held on October 22-23, 2016 at the Almendras Gym in Davao City. Competing for SBP tournament are Xavier School University, Ferndale International School, and Ateneo de Davao University, while the battle for the Passerelle tournament will just be as fierce with Holy Child School of Davao, Corpus Christi School, and Southern City College as they battle it out for the chance to compete in the national finals. The winner for each tournament will join NCR champions La Salle Greenhills for the SBP tournament and Adamson University for the Passerelle tournament in the national finals to be held in Bacolod City on December.
