Davao Aguilas FC's sawyer Scores a Hat Trick


After a gruelling 14-hour travel by plane and by land, from Davao del Norte to Ilocos Sur, Davao Aguilas FC didn’t allow fatigue to get in the way, and simply replicated their success down South last weekend, making their second straight win for the first season of the Philippines Football League (PFL).  With their first win taking place only last Sunday at their own pitch, also against the same team, last placer, Ilocos United FC.

Davao Aguilas FC scored 4 goals while the home team Ilocos United scored 2, with Harrison Sawyer doing a hat trick, with goals during the 8th, 44th and 57th minute of the intense match.  Team Captain Phil Younghusband on the other hand, scored the 4th goal on the 90th minute of the match.

Head Coach Marlon Maro announced proudly, “Today we have a team.  Today we are Davao Aguilas.”

This second win gives Davao Aguilas FC a total of 14 points, while Ilocos United FC still has a total of 7 points.

Davao Aguilas FC will be back in action at the Rizal Memorial Stadium (RMS) on Sunday, October 22, and will face-off against JPV Marikina.  Match will start at 4 p.m.  While their next home match at Davao del Norte Sports Complex, will be on October 25, they will be going against Kaya FC-Makati.  Match will start at 4 p.m.

First 116KM Community Run in the Philippines Logs 3.5 Million Steps to Champion Children’s Right to Safe Play

Manila, Philippines, 24 June 2025 – More than 3.5 million steps and over 2,500 collective kilometers were logged during the Move for Play: Infinity 116KM Run, the country’s first-ever open-road ultra-endurance community run. Organized by the non-profit organization  FundLife , the event held from June 14 to 15 brought runners from Clark to Makati in a call to action for safe, inclusive, and accessible play spaces for children in under-resourced communities.
